Our last days in the Galapagos (Ecuador)

Miss Adriana had us all over Wednesday night to watch the video the kids made throughout our time in the Galapagos.  They did such a good job!

We had to leave our apartment at 10:45 so Konrad and I squeezed one more walk to the pier in (to the animals and so that I could find a sweatshirt)

C is for Cam!

I'm going to miss this place (although super ready to be done with high temperatures!)

We have officially finished our South/Central America part of the trip and I'm actually sad we won't be walking out of another airport into a Spanish speaking country.  We loved our time and can't wait to go back!

Our taxi to the ferry didn't have A/C so that meant the windows had to stay down and Cam and I had crazy hair!

We utilized a resting room in one of the lounges in the Quito Airport.  It was nice to lay down a bit and close our eyes.  The room was freezing though!

It was a long trip home.  We left our airbnb on Santa Cruz at 11:00 on Thursday morning and got home to Seattle at 1:00 in the afternoon on Friday.  24 hours!!!

We really liked the Galapagos and wouldn't say no to going back again someday!

After dropping off Cam we walked down to Playa Estacion to check it out.  The World School group is going there today so we will probably meet them there.  

Then we walked a little further down the road to Playa La Ratonera

This is a building we walk by quite often.  It captures the Galápagos Islands pretty well!

We made a giant cookie and it was super yummy!

Meeting up with the kids after a day of school at the Origins Museum (Miss Adriana had sick kids so we used the museum instead)

These two became good friends this day and made a plan for us to go and get acai together after school

We walked past the Saturday market at 6:00 am and it was already set up!  They must have gotten up so early!

Another day having school at the museum b/c more of Miss Adrianas kids were sick) They put them in the chapel this time....seemed like a weird idea to all the adults!

We walked to the pier in the morning.   We saw this sea lion

and some crabs, but that is about it.  

coconut!  We decided to try one and it was yummy.  We didn't like one we had a long time ago so we didn't think we liked them, but this one was so good!

We went and sat on the pier for a bit and watched the marine animals 

When Konrad returned the coconut she opened it up and took out the meat for us to eat.  Again, so yummy!

This girl learned how to crochet and she is loving it!  We have ordered yarn and it will be waiting for her when we get to my mom's.

Cam's last day of school was so rainy! 

We found a waterfall and we are pretty sure it wasn't there earlier in the trip.  It has rained so much the past 2 days!
