My limbs are still wobbly and I worked out over 2 hours ago. Maggie killed us today and I LOVED every minute of it. I wonder if she'll come to my house everyday and make me work like that?
Seriously, if you haven't gone to aerobics at the Stake Center you should.

What Happens in Vegas...
Get's posted on my blog!!!!
Our trip to Vegas was so much fun. We were crazy busy...hiking, shopping, eating, getting ready, walking the strip, taking shuttles, laying out, riding the monorail, more shopping, and watching shows.
For journaling purposes I'll do a day by day travel log:
Wednesday night:
Darcy picked up Korrin and I and we headed to the airport. Our plane was an hour delayed so we grabbed some dinner and then sat down to play a mean game of UNO. We even made a friend...some random guy came up and asked if there was room for one more. Seriously, do people do that? He was pretty odd so we ended up "needing" to go to the bathroom and get ready for our flight. We did teach him that the statue on the Twin Falls temple is not solid gold...I think he said him and some friends wanted to climb up and take a chunk out of him. So at least we saved Moroni during those 2 hands of UNO!
Once we got on the "party plane", as we like to refer to it, we realized there were quite a few loud and crazy guys that were very excited to be spending Spring Break in Vegas. I have never been on such a loud plane before. You couldn't even hear the pilot of flight attendants on the loud speakers. Crazy! They were all UW fans so we heard quite a few Dawg cheers. Go Huskies! (a little late, I know).
We got to Vegas and Tami, Carrie, and Mary were there to pick us up. We headed to the Condo and hung out.
Thursday: (man this could be a long post...)
Darcy and I started off the day working out. Then we all headed to the strip to buy "tickets4less" to see a show that night. We ended up getting tickets to see Wayne Brady...hilarious! It was a great show! After getting the tickets we went to Red Rock Canyon and went hiking. It was a short hike but we had a lot of fun. After hiking we had to go shopping to buy new outfits for a night on the town (more on that later...we needed "fancy" outfits for a special Friday night out that came up). After shopping we headed back to the condo got all cleaned up and headed to the strip for dinner and the Wayne Brady show.
Friday:
We actually slept in until about 7:00 this day (isn't it sad that we couldn't sleep in???) We went to the Las Vegas Premium Outlet Mall. I got a couple of good deals, but nothing too exciting. We then rushed back to the condo to get some time laying in the sun. We were only able to squeeze in a couple hours of swimming/laying out before heading back in to get ready for our AWESOME night out.
Darcy has a cousin that frequents Vegas. While we were standing in the "tickets4less" line we had called him to get his recommendation on a show. He surprised Darcy by saying that he was going to be in Vegas on Friday and that he'd love to take her and her friends to dinner and a show. What???? We couldn't believe it. So he took us to dinner at the top of the Stratosphere. A cool restaurant where the dining area rotates so you get a panoramic view of Las Vegas. The food was delicious!!!! After dinner we were picked up in a limo...yes I said limo...so exciting!... that drove us to see "O" a cirque show, at the Bellagio. Unbelievable. We were sitting in the 7th row. I couldn't believe my eyes. The things these people could do were amazing. The way the production ran was amazing. I still can't believe that her cousin was willing to take 6 women, five of whom he'd never met, out on a wonderful "night-on-the-town". I don't think we could ever thank him enough! If he ate cookies, I'd make him a million! :) We were pretty out of our element, but enjoyed every minute!
Saturday:
We slept in until 8:00 - whoo-hoo! Layed by the pool for awhile, unfortunately it was overcast so we didn't' get much sun. Then headed back to the strip for lunch and an afternoon of shopping and black jack...well black jack watching for me...black jack playing for Tami and Darcy. (All though, a guy at the table, who had been helping Tami and Darcy learn the game, did let me lose some of his money for him. I warned him!) Then we had to head back to the airport and come home.
I had a wonderful time. I only wish we had spent more time just hanging out. We were so busy going from here to there and getting ready to go here and there that we barely had time to just sit and talk. Plus I didn't get in my Cafe Rio fix either...but from what I hear it's a good thing I didn't b/c some fun stuff happened at the Cafe Rio in St. George...(where Tami, Carrie, and Mary ate after dropping us (Korrin, Darcy, and I off at the airport).

The condo offered a free shuttle to the strip. It was great not having to worry about parking and driving in that traffic nightmare!

Carrie, Korrin and I waiting for Tami to buy a bra - some lady's husband thought it was hilarious how we were all sitting back there. The first time he saw us he just laughed. Then he came back and asked for our camera's so we could remember this night forever :)

You Know You Want Glasses When...
You lie, yes I said lie, to the eye doctor!
Kimberlynn and I had eye appointments this past Wednesday. Kimber had been told twice at school, from the nurse, that she needed to have her eyes checked out by a doctor.
Kimber has been expressing that she wants glasses, but I didn't realize how bad until we were at the appointment.
She is working with the assistant, or nurse, or whatever you call her. The lady asks her to read the 3rd line down. Kimber says it's too blurry I can't. So she read the 1st then the 2nd. She then asked her to read the first letter in the 3rd line. Kimber could. As well as the other 4 of them. The lady goes on doing all kinds of tests and then tells her that she can see just fine and that she won't need glasses.
The doctor enters and goes through the whole "which is better 1 or 2. 3 or 4. do you prefer 5 or 10?" Seriously nothing stresses me out more than answering those questions! Anyways, back to Kimber. He finishes his exam and says "You are near-sighted" to her and tells me that she could benefit from glasses. I take a look at the prescription and am thinking this is not bad enough to warrant glasses, but Kimber is so excited..she couldn't believe she really needed them.
On the way out we attempted to look at the glasses to choose a frame, but because our eyes were dilated we couldn't see clearly enough so we decided to come back another day and look at them.
As we are getting in the van Kimber says "I can't believe I really need glasses, I wasn't even cheating the whole time!" I turned to her with a very surprised look on my face. "What do you mean cheating?", I say. She goes on to tell me that she was lying with the lady here and that she lied at school when the nurse was checking her. "BUT Mom, I wasn't lying to the doctor. Since she (the assistant) already told me I didn't need them, I just told the truth."
Seriously????
Needless to say, she is not getting glasses (had the prescription been stronger we would have). I have explained that if she wants pretend glasses we can get those, but we are not paying big bucks for glasses she doesn't need, that will just weaken her eyes, just so that she can be like her friend Anna at school.
Man, what will it be next?????
I'm pretty sure she'll be lying to the orthodontist too! She's been coveting braces for quite sometime. We better not let her talk to Dr. Aaron anytime soon!
She'll probably claim a broken arm as well, nothing like a great cast...
(she will kill me if she finds out I wrote about this...she's been a little sensitive about it, so don't bug her about it!!!!)

Do You Want to do a Pull-up?
Konrad has a pull-up bar in the garage. Tonight when we got home from my nephew's b-day party Konrad asked Alli if she wanted to do a pull-up. She said "No. I think I'll just do underwear." then added "No, I'll do a pull-up" Obviously she was focused on getting ready for bed not on exercising!

From Sun to Snow
Konrad invited me along on his business trip to San Diego. We were there from Thursday evening until Saturday evening. It was wonderful!!!!! It wasn't as warm as I would have liked, but the sun was shining and the ocean was gorgeous. I really could look at it (and all the people around it) all day long.
Mission Beach:
We hiked out this rock pier, it took us close to 45 minutes to go all the way to the end.

We hiked along the cliffs in Ocean Beach on Saturday. The cliffs were amazing next to the ocean. There were surfers and we even saw a group (about 6) of dolphins/whales (not sure which) swimming just off the shore. Amazing!
We stopped to watch some surfers as well as a wedding. These people (behind Konrad) set up an archway, put out a handful of chairs and had a wedding. Gorgeous setting.

These guys were using oars as they surfed. The stood on their boards the entire time (versus laying down and paddling out with their hands) and used the oar to guide them on the wave. They were pretty cool.
We went down to the beach and checked out the tide pools and sides of the cliffs.
Ocean Beach was having a kite festival. They had a little street fair where people could make kites then they had a kite parade down to the beach. 
Enjoying a good book, watching the kites, and people watching...
And what do we come home to....
Yes, that is my sunburned husband standing in the snow. That doesn't happen everyday!

We had a great trip. It it always so nice to get away, even if only for a couple of days. Thanks Mom and Steph for taking care of the girls for us! I love organization!!!!

Last weekend (I know I'm behind) we hiked on Tiger Mountain in Issaquah. We went pretty early in the day and it was FREEZING. We still managed to have fun, but I decided I really enjoy the sunny day hikes better. Here are a few pictures...
