Week 8 (Feb 22nd-Feb 28th)

Watching Sam's dive meet from the comfort of our kitchen.  Wish we could be there in person, but at least we get to watch! And it was fun to have family across the country watch as well :)

We went to the cemetery on Sunday b/c we won't have time to go on Thursday, the 4th.  I can't believe it's been 10 years.  

My cousin Laura put together a little slide show memorial for Grandma Carlson.  It was so fun to see so many cute pictures and hear so many memories of Grandma.  Grateful that the girls sat and watched and were able to "meet" some of my cousins :)  It was funny, they asked me if I was one of the older cousins and my first response was no, I'm more in the middle.  Then I realized there are only 5 cousins older than me...so I guess I am one of the older ones :)

Grateful for technology that allows us to "be together" even when we really can't.  The plus side of the Covid 19 pandemic happening in 2020/2021!  We are at the year mark for Covid 19 affecting our lives.  It's crazy that it's been that long!!!!

Maui Day 7 (Feb 21st)

Camryn was pretty sure we missed this flower when we were taking pictures the day before:

We went on a whale watching tour

Then we went down to try Beach Street's shave ice (Kimber and Cam), acai bowls (Konrad and I), milk shakes (Allison), and coffee (Kimber).  The acai bowls and shakes were good, but the rest not so much.  Oh, I guess Cam liked her blue raspberry shave ice.  

Then we ended the day at "our" beach.  The waves were much calmer that afternoon.  

Someone made an amazing sand castle and we enjoyed looking at it.

Konrad and I made a quick stop at a food truck to try some coconut shrimp and Thai Iced Tea.  So yummy!

We loved our trip to Maui.  It could have only been better had Sam been with us.  We will for sure be going back (if not buying a condo there if Konrad has his way :))!

Maui Day 6 (Feb 20th)

Konrad and Cam went snorkeling at our beach.  They saw a turtle and some fish.  I sat on the beach and watched a whale :)

We drove to Lahaina to do some shopping.  We stopped at Leoda's for pie and some banana bread.  So yummy!

This tree in town was amazing!  Everything you see is connected to that main tree.  

We ate lunch after 2 hours of shopping at Crazy Cat Cafe (Kenna's suggestion and they had gluten free options for Kimber!)

 After shopping we drove to get some Guri Guri:

We weren't all sold, but I ate everyone's leftovers so I must have liked it :)

Then we headed to Baldwin Beach in hopes of finding some seashells.

The sunset was UNREAL that night.  We originally pulled over to take some pictures and then decided that wasn't enough and we needed to head to the beach.
