We enjoyed a nice lazy start to our day. We woke up many times throughout the night, so it was nice not to have to rush out or anything. After getting ready for the day and blogging, I took the big girls to walk through some of the shops on our street, while Konrad stayed home with a napping baby. She ended up sleeping about 3 hours, so we couldn't leave for our Louvre adventure until later in the afternoon.

And she's awake. The girls and I had picked up lunch at the supermarket, so as soon as Cam woke up we could leave for the afternoon.

The Louvre is GIGANTIC. It is really unreal how big it is. That is one part of it to the left of the girls. There are 3 sections/wings to the Louvre. We did quite a bit of one section.
These pictures are tricky! I did realize it was a lot easier for me (the photographer) to move than trying to direct the girls on how to move their finger. There, you just learned something new. You are welcome. (or maybe you already knew that and you think I'm dumb. Oh well.)
The painting we came to see. The Mona Lisa. It is pretty small, especially compared to all the other paintings in the museum. And there was a huge crowd looking at it.
Cooling off by putting our feet in the little pool. The air conditioning in that huge building isn't so awesome.
After the museum we walked a few blocks over to a park that had some carnival type rides and games. They had misting fans. Alli enjoyed it :)
The girls each got to pick a ride they wanted to do as well as go on the Ferris wheel with Konrad.
Allison and Samantha chose to go in these big balls. They had so much fun and were so much fun to watch.

Kimber chose this "timberhawk" type ride, only she wouldn't go alone, so Konrad joined her. They both loved it and said it is probably the best ride they had ever done.
It was crazy how high up they were. It also was crazy fast.

Then we had some dinner. I'm not sure why we all had to take pictures. But we did. I had another panini. About the only thing I've eaten on our trip. But they are yummy.
The girls had sugar waffles. Second time for them. Breakfast for dinner works for me :)
After eating we headed back to the subway terminal, shopping on the way. Man, these girls could shop forever. Especially for souvenirs.

This is each of us on a different floor of the staircase, except for the top floor, Cam wouldn't go up on her own :) The staircase is a pretty tight oval shape. I get dizzy walking up and down it. Very steep with narrow steps. Scary :)

Things we are noticing about Paris:
- It is stinky. Between the cigarette smoke and the body odor, it's bad.
- The people here are not very friendly at all. Unless they are shop owners and then they might talk to you.
- It is hard being in a country where you don't speak their language at all. I've spent quite a few days in Spanish speaking countries and have always known enough to get by (read signs, understand their numbers so I know how much money they are asking for, pull out certain words said to me and figure out the rest on my own), but here we are lost. So confusing and I don't like it at all.
- We are so glad we aren't attempting to drive. The streets are crazy and so are the drivers. Add in bicycles and scooters weaving through traffic and I'd be scared out of my mind.
- It is hot in every building. In all subways. and that creates more stinky bodies. Yuck!
