January Photo Dump

Chayla, Cam, and Madeline at Madeline's working on a puzzle:
 Snow day!
This one was so sad when I told her Kaylee would be coming over after she got done playing in the snow.  She started crying and asked why she hadn't been allowed to play in the snow.  I told her she never asked to go out so I didn't think she wanted to.  She told me she thought I would suggest it if she could.  Poor thing. We quickly bundled her up and she went out to play.  I'm so used to my older girls, when they were young, just getting up and putting snow clothes on (they had each other and did it together) that I didn't even think to suggest it to her.  I just assumed she'd let me know if she wanted.  Now we know to talk about it :)

Luckily Kaylee was willing to play in the snow some more with Camryn.
Allison got her braces off.  For 10 minutes and then back on they went.  Her friend Madi DID get her braces off that day though, so they were both braceless for a few minutes together.  (Dr. Aaron Molen wanted to take them off to get them lined up better on her teeth.  She was hoping he was punking her and would say just kidding, they get to stay off, but he wasn't and put new ones back on).  She was sore for DAYS!
Brynn Johnson made me a birthday card using her preschool work :)
 Skating with friends!
 Skating lessons:
Konrad surprised me with a T-rex for my birthday :)
Cam and I made a unicorn hooded blanket that she bought (it was a craft kit)

I took Zack E with me to the stake dance.  We had a great time checking dance cards together.  It was Disney+ Theme and there were quite a few ladies excited to see him there :)

Girls Trip

I headed to see Tami this past weekend with Darcy, Jenni, and Melia.  This trip came after a few really rough weeks for me and it was nice to be with ladies I love that listened to me vent and offered me good advice.

We showed up all coordinated...stripes and coral.    Jenni and Melia came from Rexburg and Darcy and I from Washington.
We walked on a little trail in Phoenix.
This was taken to show a certain child of mine.  Great timing to find a shirt like that.  Granted I never sent her the picture :)
 We did a beautiful hike

And checked out an old western town.  We tried to convince Hallie and her friends that they needed to go there before the next school dance which was western themed.  They weren't cool enough to accept our advice though.

 Yummy shaved ice!

A New Year

I have to admit this year didn't get off to the best start, but I'm determined to turn it around.

Being a parent is hard work and often I wonder how well I'm doing at it.  When your house seems to be struggling, you begin to worry that maybe things should have been done different.  But all we can do, is get back up and continue trying.  Doing our best and trying our best everyday to be better than we were the day before.

Not a ton has happened so far this year.  I did turn a year older...41.  I had a fun birthday weekend that included a birthday lunch at Cafe Rio with friends from Lake Tapps, lunch at Red Robin with Konrad, the girls, and Ken and Sara.  Dinner and dessert with my parents and Steph's family.  Oh and hanging at the Stake Dance (Disney+ theme) with my stake friends and 305 youth :)
They surprised me a t-rex and I died laughing.  Best thing ever!

Camryn has been going roller skating on Saturday's.  She does a lesson for an hour and then free skate.  She goes with her friend Madeline.

We had a snow day last Tuesday.  Kaylee came over to play with Camryn.  Allison went to Gabby's and took pictures in the snow.

Camryn lost her first tooth on Jan 15th.  She was so excited that it came out when she was at school and she got a tooth necklace to put it in.
Allison got her braces off.  For 5 minutes.  And then has been in pain for the past 5 days.  (Madi got hers off for reals that day)

Allison and I had personal sized s'mores dip one night.  So yummy! (chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and marshmallows)
