Zoo with Family

Since we were only going to see Grandma Riding 1 day all summer (she went to Hawaii, we went to Oregon, she is in Europe, we'll be in Utah, then she's back to work) we decided to hit the zoo.

Hiking and 4th of July

We had a fun 4th of July weekend.

We went hiking with Grandpa and Grandma Crabtree. We went to Denny Creek. It was fun and we actually ran into snow. It was a bit muddy and slippery at points, but it was a beautiful day.
After hiking we took Konrad with us to Wildwaves - he doesn't come with us very often, so it was a treat for the girls to have Dad be able to ride rides with them.

While we were at Wild Waves, Konrad's dad came an ripped 4 trees out of our yard. Now just two more bushes and 1 tree to go, some relocating of bushes, and some new stuff to put in. Eventually I'll like our front yard :)

4th of July was a busy day.

We started the day at Grandma and Grandpa for a BBQ and water play.

The girls planned out their outfits the night before so they were all 4th of Julyish:

My sister Steph and her family came as well (they are in the same ward as my in-laws and their children call Konrad's parents grandma and grandpa as well) so the girls got to play with their cousins.

We played some ladder golf - Doug was the ultimate champion, I don't think anyone beat him!

After that BBQ we headed to a friends for a dinner party.

After our dinner party we headed to Lake Wilderness with our neighbors to watch the fireworks. We walked FOREVER to get there (like 2.5 miles each way!!!!) but it was still fun. Next time we won't park at the neighbors-friends house...there are about 4,000 other closer parking spots....

After our hour long walk back (b/c we went the long way home....go figure!) we still had some sparklers and flowers to do.

It was a long day, but an AWESOME day. Luckily we got to sleep in the next day!
