Check-In

We have been pretty busy lately.  Lots of running from one thing to a next.

This week, the craziness is coming to an end.  Kimber's school volleyball season ended on Tuesday (they took 2nd), the play she is participating in at church is currently having their opening night (no worries, I went and watched the dress rehearsal last night...very good, of course!), and will be done on Saturday night.  Sam's swimming lessons ended on Wednesday, she passed level 4 in September and level 5 in October.  She is a great swimmer.  I'm hoping to convince her to join a swim team...as of now she is content just taking swimming lessons.  Not sure what she will do after she passes level 6, maybe diving???

Anyways...

Allison finishes soccer on Saturday.  They are currently undefeated.  So much fun to watch.

We did start up community volleyball this week.  Konrad is going to coach 5 teams...he's slightly nuts.  I'm not sure how Saturday games will go, but he is doubling up practices so he won't have to be gone any extra hours for those.  I'm just glad that he loves to do it and that the kids on his team seem to really improve, so he must know what he is doing :)

So starting next week.  We will just have piano and volleyball.  Each girl only having one practice a week and one game a week.  I think we can handle that.

Now I just have to find myself a volleyball league to play in.  I am looking at one in Renton that plays on Thursdays.  Anyone want to play?

In other news...

  • Our ward went through a boundary change at the end of September.  We had about 10 families that were swiped out of our ward into a bordering ward.  It's amazing how much I miss those families.  They still live across the street (literally) from my neighborhood, but it's just not the same as seeing them on Sunday's.  I miss them.
  • I miss Ian.  It's such a hard thing.  Camryn being here seems to take away a lot of the sting, having a baby to hold, but there are so many times it still kills me that I don't have a 2 1/2 year old running around my house.   I'm sure many of you with 2 1/2 year old might call me crazy, but trust me, I'd give anything to have one in my life.  It was weird taking family pictures a couple weeks ago and remembering the realization that we will never have a family picture with Ian in it.  That we will still appear to be a family of 6, with all girls.  It is starting to roll off my tongue a little bit easier when I get the "Wow, 4 girls, no boys?" questions.  "Actually I had a boy 2 years ago, but he was stillborn".  It's becoming less awkward, which is good, I guess???  One of Kimber's teammates had a very cute, very all-BOY, little brother who will be 3 in December.  Just a few months older than Ian.  The fun those two would have had during all those games.  The fun we would have with him.
  • Don't tell Jenni, but I am not doing so awesome at my jar challenge right now.  Well not too bad, but also not as awesome as I'd like.  Maybe next week.  Only 3ish more weeks to go.  I can do it!!
  • Which means in 3ish weeks I'll be getting ready to fly to Florida to get on a cruise ship.  Can't wait.  The girls are so excited.  It will be amazing!
  • I'm super jealous that my sisters get to spend a month together, in November, in Texas where it is sunny.  30 days of seeing each other everyday.  Fun!
  • My mom had surgery on her rotator cuff last week (on Kimber's birthday).  She's a trooper.  Tougher than most!
  • I think it may become medically necessary to move somewhere warm.  My joints are killing me again.  The only time they haven't hurt in the past few months is the 3 days I was in Vegas.  I'm thinking it was the warm weather that made a difference.  Don't tell Konrad I said that.
  • I love having a baby in our house.  It's amazing how she has changed things.  It's amazing how my attitude towards babies has changed.  I have never been a "Can I please hold your baby" type of person.  I was always willing to help with a friends' baby if needed, but rarely did I seek one out.  This baby though, man I could snuggle her all day.  All of us could.  Which makes me want to snuggle all babies.  So fun!
  • So excited fall TV is back.  Survivor.  Amazing Race.  Parenthood.  Biggest Loser.  Modern Family.  Yeah for new shows to watch.
  • I am starting a new adventure tomorrow morning.  I am going to be the Art Docent in Allison's class.  I'm a bit, okay a big bit, nervous.  Wish me luck!
Halloween is coming....we'll see how quickly I get that post up :)

Family Pictures 2013

Tami was nice enough to take our family pictures a few weeks ago.  We ended up with a beautiful sunny fall day.  Probably too sunny for Tami's (and the cameras) liking, but at least it wasn't raining :)

What Happens in Vegas...Get's Shared on My Blog

Tami planned another great trip to Vegas for us a couple weekends ago.  I had to bring Miss Camryn with me, so it was a little different this time around, but I still had a wonderful time and want to go again!

Most of my pictures are baby related, but hey, that's what my trip was about this time :)  Also they were all taken with my phone (other than the 3 I stole from Tami) so the quality isn't awesome!

  • babysitters (my SIL's laurels) getting lost on the way to our hotel, poor girls!
  • saw a hypnotist show, where Tami almost made the show, she wasn't quite hypnotized enough though
  • Jana being our shuttle to the mall
  • walking an hour home from the mall in the perfect weather
  • a little HGTV watching
  • not very much sleep happening...babies cramp your sleeping-style!
It was fun ladies!  Can we go again???
