First Day Of School 2013

Today was the day.  The 1st day of school.  Summer went by too fast.  I've only cried twice that it's over (once last night, once today). 

Time to get back on a schedule.  My house will be cleaner, but it will also be quieter and less fun.  Luckily I really like a clean house :)

The girls were super excited and everyone was ready for school by 7:30.  Of course they ate a healthy well balanced diet, of donuts, to start the day off right :)

Kimber started middle school this year, so she was the first to leave.  Konrad drove her and friends to school b/c of the rain (I didn't realize how crappy it is to have a rainy first day of school...I don't think that has ever happened before!). 

7th Grade:

Alli and Sam wanted a ride to school, so we skipped the bus for them.  Allison was so surprised to find out that Kimber didn't even have the option of riding the bus to school.  :)

I love walking around the playground on the 1st day of school.  Seeing all my old preschooler's (and their moms!!) lined up to go to big-kid school.  Some of them are in 4th grade!!!  (as a side note...my very first group of kids are in high school this year!!!!)

Unfortunately these cute girls aren't in Allison's class, but we had to say hi anyways :)

 Sam and one of her BFF's, the other was standing further down in the line.  Those 3 are lined up in the front row of desks in their class.  Let the fun begin!!!

 Our first trip to Wild Waves was cloudy and pretty chilly:

 Kimber went to girls camp, excuse me, I mean Young Women camp.  My friend Shari sent me this picture of her doing crafts. 

 Darcy sent me these picture from camp after I texted her and told her I'd been crying all day b/c I didn't get to go to camp with Kimber.  Always figured I'd be there her first year.  I know she didn't need me there, but I wanted to be there.  I was missing out on the fun.  I was glad to hear/see she was having fun!

 She was crazy and did the Polar Bear swim.  No Thank You!  Brave girl!

 We forgot to take a before picture of Kimber and her smile.  I sent Sam back with my phone to see if she could get one...this is what she could get.  :)

Kimber got top braces and a Herbst in her mouth.  (Sam got an expander, but I don't have a picture of that).

 Family night at Coulon.  We had dinner at Kid Valley.  Then Konrad and the girls walked the trail, while I went to my favorite Mixed Fit Dance place, then I met them at the park while the girls played.  Love that beach!

 Camryn's first painted toe nails.  Next time I'll wait until she is sleeping!  :)

 Oh boy.  I am so almost caught up.  I've got a weekend at the cabin and Konrad's trip to Alaska left.  I think I'll be ready for the first day of school post!  Crazy summer is almost over!!!!

Swim, Swim, Swim

Our friends, the Tylers, have access to a swimming pool and they are so nice to invite us to come swimming with them. 

This last time we had a BBQ as well, and all the men joined us as well (I bet JT was glad for some company other than women and children!).
