See You Later Celebration!

As we prepared to leave on our trip we were squeezing in goodbyes everywhere we could!

Our last Thursday in Lake Tapps I met Amy to walk the hill and ran into Tami at the end so I got to give them both hugs (but didn't take any pictures) and then met Mel for an açaí bowl:
Cam had a little party with her friends to say goodbye:
Quinn, Zayah, Avery, Corinn, Chloe, Cam, Klara, Grace, Evie, Brooke, and Elizabeth

These two sweatshirts are perfect for Cam :)
We dropped Cam off at Avery's bday party and then my mom and the Dances at Puerto Vallarta for dinner.  I'm gonna miss seeing these guys every week!!!
The renters brought over a load of stuff....it's getting real!!!
As a side note, the way we found our renters was pretty cool. Evie's mom Amy mentioned to Konrad that they had some friends who were going to be remodeling their home and needed to find a place to stay while it was happening.  I was planning on touching base with Amy once school was over and see if those people were still interested.  Then one night I got a text from Darcy saying that her brother was going to be remodeling his home and his family needed a place to stay and they were curious if our house was rented out yet.  I put two and two together and realized that Darcy's brother lived on the same island as Evie's family so they were probably talking about the same family.  And they were!  That same night Darcy texted they came over by boat and we met them and then realized we had a few other connections.  The contractor working on their remodel had rented our house before for 3 weeks while we were in Hawaii, and their daughter used be one of Allisons friends. They were also good friends with Allison's old best friend.  And lastly, I remembered that because Darcy and my BIL Doug Dance are cousins that meant Trevor was also Doug's cousin.  It was pretty cool how it all worked out.  Darcy, my tell it like it is friend, gave Trevor and Jen a stamp of approval and said she'd let them stay in her house so I was like, sold!!!  They have 2 young boys and then 2 college age boys.  Glad it worked out for all of us.  It's nice knowing we have a family we know, that has connections to us, and that we will have renters for at least 6 months!

Random August Pictures

We love when dragonfly's land on us or our phones/kindles when we are by the lake :)

Dinner at Ascend in Bellevue with Konrad's boss and a coworker, and their spouses, to celebrate his retirement.  It was by far one of the fanciest restaurants I have been to and was so expensive.  I think the bill for 6 of us was $2500 or something like that.  Konrad's meal was probably over $200 and my close to $100...so insane!!
Camryn wanted to make surprise cupcakes filled with sprinkles :)

Alli, Jenna, and Riley having a cute little picnic :)
Cam and Chloe warming up on the floating dock
Chloe and Cam made up a routine on the night Chloe spent the night
Our neighbor Rob let Konrad try out his E-foil board and he is hooked!  I'm sure he'll be hoping to by one someday
These friends went and got Build-A-Bears so they can take them to college with them and have a reminder of their friendship.  Laurie (a guy!), Lester, and Leo I believe are their names :) Oh and a funny side note, Alli's bear is wearing a University of Arizona jersey that Alli thought she was buying for herself.  Ended up being a dog shirt, haha!!!

Evie and Cam on their way back to Lakeridge Park (aka swing park) from the rope swing
Cam got to go shopping with Klara, Kate, and Kat at the super mall (aka Outlet Collection).  Cam and Klara got matching shirts at H&M and they all got stuffies....of course :)
tried out the TikTok chocolate dipped strawberries hack...so yummy!  Just let the chocolate melt while I was laying out and then dipped away :)
The neighbors a few doors down hosted a concert for the cove. About 50 boats came to listen and we enjoyed from our back patio.  Not the best music, but I always appreciate live bands!

Cam loves to draw during sacrament meeting
My new favorite bracelet to make:
Allison saying goodbye to the Dances at her last Sunday dinner at Grandma's
Cam sent me this picture when I was at camp.  She was so excited that Allison had made her this sweatshirt and that Allison had a matching one
Ollie snuggles!
Ice cream adventure to Dairy Freeze (Cam claims they have the best cookies and cream milkshake in the world!)
Matching girls!
When I got home from taking Allison to college I walked by Cam's bike and noticed a new addition.  She made a water bottle holder :)
Allisons empty room :(
These two made fake ID's...although they did put their real DOB so I guess they aren't fake.  They wanted them for when they ride their bikes :)
One last night of Bunco before we left.  Love all of these ladies and I'm so glad they came to play with me on short notice.  I'm going to miss them all!
We made a trip to the cemetery to say goodbye to Ian and bring him some Hawaii treasures

One last sleep over for Cam and Klara and we squeezed in a quick trip to grandma and grandpas pool b/c Camryn hadn't swam in it at all this summer.  They loved how warm it was and had a blast for the hour we were there.

They even got Grandpa to come in and play with them!

Grandma Crabtree is 70!

Konrad's mom turned 70 on August 28th and we wanted to do something fun to celebrate.  Our schedule and their schedule was pretty tight around this time so we decided we would decorate the outside of her house.  Her birthday was on a Wednesday so I wanted to decorate late Tuesday night so she'd wake up to the surprise, but Konrad convinced me it would be better to decorate Tuesday evening while his parents were working their shift at the Seattle Temple b/c his mom LOVES to stay up late and it would be hard to be sneaky if she was roaming around in the house.  It was the best decision and it was fun for her to come home from the temple to a fun surprise!

We had to borrow my moms car to transport all the balloons

Camryn watching to make sure they didn't come home.  If they did we were going to hide behind a bush and jump out and say surprise!  her other option was jumping in the cars and getting out of there super quick :)

The finished product!
