Every year Konrad's company has a sales meeting. This year was in Kauai, Hawaii. I was lucky enough to tag along again. One of my favorite vacations and I look forward to it every year!
This time Konrad had a bit more free time. The first afternoon I was there we went to lunch with 6 of his co-workers. We ate a restaurant right on the water. It was amazing. The view. My food, wasn't so awesome, but that's okay.
Then we walked a couple of miles to Poipu beach where some of the group chose to snorkel.
There were two seals on the beach, soaking up the sun:
Konrad chose to snorkel. He saw some fish, but no turtles or anything super exciting.

I also spied this guy walking around the pool. Chickens and roosters everywhere! And they constantly cock-a-doodle-doo!!!
Friday afternoon the company had a wiffle ball tournament. It was fun to watch.

As part of a team building experience Konrad went on an airplane tour of the island. Here are some picture he took:
Saturday was Valentine's day and Konrad worked most of the day. That night for dinner I went out with Meg and her 2 boys and Paula and her 3 kids. Very entertaining to say the least! I really enjoy both of these women and their kids are pretty awesome too. We'll see if we end up bringing our kids next time...
That night after Konrad was done we got some dessert to celebrate Valentine's day.
On Sunday we spent some time by the pool, went and got lunch at Bubbas in Kappa, stopped at a waterfall (Waimea I think), and then ended up driving back to Poipu to watch the sunset.
I think this is the same waterfall as pictured above. It had rained a ton on Friday night, the night before Konrad's airplane flight, so the falls were much fuller.

If you look closely you can see the back of a humpback whale. I love Hawaii in the winter!!
We also stopped at Uncle's and tried Shaved Snow. It was really good. I highly recommend the banana! The pina colada was okay, just not as flavorful!
Monday we decided to drive north and check out the different beaches that we passed.

Lunch was a Puka Dog and fresh squeezed lemonade. So good. We tried one with pineapple relish and one with mango relish. Konrad preferred the mango, I preferred the pineapple. We also tried their special mustard. It was so yummy!

This is the furthest north beach we could access by car. Had we brought our tennis shoes that day, we would have hiked a few miles to see what else we could find.

We had Tuesday morning before heading to the airport. We played tennis, rented paddle boards, swam around the pool (had to do it at least once!!!), ordered lunch and ate by the pool.
Such a fun and relaxing trip. So grateful for our parents to helped us out and watched the girls for us!
We came home to this Valentine's Day surprise:
They had been waiting for us for 2 hours (Konrad thought we got in at 8:00...which we did, Hawaii time, 10:00 our time). So cute. They made us heart shaped cupcakes and pink milk. They even through tissue paper pieces at us when we walked in the door. Kimber also did a little photo shoot of us as well. Fun times. Love our girls!!!!
