Spring Break!

We had a different spring break than normal this year.  We were kind of all over the place. Allison and I got home Monday evening from California.

Sam left Monday evening to stay at Ruby's because they were heading to McCall, Idaho early Tuesday morning.  She got to go skiing twice and LOVED it.  They also went to some hot springs and played games.  She had a really great time.  She got home Saturday night.

Kimber flew to New York on Wednesday to meet up with Jake and his mom Lori.  She also had a great time.  They did all the touristy stuff (Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, ice skating at Rockefeller, Twin Towers memorial, saw Wicked, watched the NIT championship game, shopped, ate, went to the temple to check it out, etc etc etc) but she still has quite the bucketlist that she didn't get to, so she will be going back I'm sure! She was supposed to be home Saturday night, but they missed their flight, so she didn't make it home until Sunday (Easter!) morning.

Konrad, Allison, Cam, and I decided to get away as well and we went to Suncadia for Thursday night.  It was a fun resort and would be so much better in warmer weather.  Loved the hotel, loved the pool, the bike trails, the park, and of course the fire pit for smores!  We didn't make it down to the river like we wanted (rainy and cold), but maybe next time :)

The moss on the trees there was bright green.  I couldn't get a good picture, but it was so amazing and different.
 The Lodge:

We went to a really yummy Mexican place in Roslyn.  The lemonade was a bit sour though :)

We bought stuff for s'more's in Cle Elum and then headed back to Suncadia to find some sticks and then headed to the fire pit to roast.  So yummy.  My family is weak though.  I had like 3 s'mores and 3 or 4 marshmallows.  I think they each had one.
It was very windy so we had to watch those flames so our marshmallow (or ourselves!) didn't catch on fire.
Cam doesn't remember eating a s'more before, she thought it was pretty yummy!

Almost a teenager...trying to get the right video of the fire to post.
More swimming (they swam from a total of 5ish hours over the two days we were there)

The girls held a vote and decided we should drive to Leavenworth so we could pick out ornaments.  We normally go at Christmas time each year, but didn't make it this past Christmas.  We were just there for a couple of hours, but I'm still glad we went.  I even ran into a high school friend in the parking lot at the same time that her ex-boyfriend walked up to her as well.  3 Liberty Grads who hadn't seen each other in almost 20 years reunited in the Leavenworth parking lot :)
 Love this little town!
So kind to share laps and heads for sleeping on!
We finished off the trip with dinner at Thai Chef (we went the long way home so we would drive past Bellevue and because I wanted to see Steven's Pass).  It was so good.  Once again the owner remembered us and we didn't even have to say "Palace Special" just the 3 stars part :).  Allison was confused why she was the only one that we ordered food for...she missed the owner saying 2 Palace Specials?  It was pretty funny!  Al loves the chicken satay there...she even said she might choose it for her birthday dinner!

March Picture Dump

We celebrated Tami's birthday at Jasmine Mongolian Grill.
My preschool class made the cutest crabs ever!
Nothing like a blue sky day!
 Spring is here!
I got to see Lisa at Newcastle Beach.  We met there b/c it was a warm 70 degree day and we couldn't imagine sitting inside for lunch when it was so nice out!
Kaylee came with us.  Sometime after this picture she lost one of her shoes...oops!
The sky was amazing one night....

Grandpa Crabtree brought over his mission display board he had made and told us about his mission to Mexico City.
We did an escape room with the Molen's.  Loved it and can't wait to do more!
haha. This still makes me laugh.  Kimber decided she would have Jake boost her up to get a Frisbee one of my preschool kids had thrown on the roof.  In the process she got stuck.  She was pretty mad, but the rest of us were laughing.  Sorry Kimber!
At the end of our Ocean Project they made this awesome mural...
And then we went to Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium:

My camera was on a dumb setting so my pictures were all horrible!

My team won the championship again!  Yay for a new t-shirt!  Mom, Steph, and Carol had to miss the game so Macaul, Mimy, and Pony played with us.
Allison bought a macaroon in the airport to try.  She liked it.
Superhero's at our YW presidency meeting.
Cortney was in town so we met up at Red Robin.  I had a Nana Nana Moo Moo shake and fries.  I need to get that combo more often...forget dinner food!  Love all these ladies!
Allison made a cute Easter decoration:
Sam at her gymnastics banquet.  She got the "Most Sarcastic Gymnast" award
Because we have late church this year (I hate 1:00 church) we have decided to fill our mornings with adventures to new-to-us parks.  This one was in Puyallup:
This one in Tacoma (this hamster thing was a blast for the girls. They loved it!)
