Allison

Madi's dad takes some great pictures during the games sometimes...here are some of them

February Photo Dump

My daily lunch:  8 oz Sunny D, 1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder, 3-4 cups spinach, 3/4 cup frozen berries.

Mel and I got to go to the temple the first Friday of February :)
Tournament at the Field House in Auburn
Allison played against her childhood bestie, Leah...she even served it right to her :)
Camryn got to go to Madeline's 9th birthday party.  It was on a Sunday so I struggled letting her go, but in the end we realized this is a friend that she rarely sees anymore and she was able to do something she really wants to do (ride horses) so I gave in.  I just really love my Sunday's being a family day where we don't do stuff like this, but in the end...friendship matters and it was important to Camryn.  That same Sunday, Allison had a volleyball tournament and Konrad and I went to the Hansen's house for dinner.  We were spread out all over that Sunday!
I got a call at 11:00ish one Friday night.  It was Sam letting me know they were in a car accident.  Sam and their friend Ali were in the car, on the freeway, and exited the freeway too late and hit a sign.  They both had concussions and Sam had a black eye, pictured below, but we are just really glad they walked away!  So scary.  The car did not survive and now Sam in carless in Flagstaff.  Konrad convinced them to get a bike so they could get a job...hopefully that happens this week!

Friday night dinner of Lucky Charms :)
Gone are the days of high fiving the other team before a game...its a stomp, clap, wave thing now :)
Stake Youth Annual Meeting where we introduced the Youth them for the year "Trust in the Lord".  I made 15 dozen cookies (and my friend Rhonda made 14 dozen as well).  It was well attended, we were worried b/c it was on Super bowl Sunday, and a great meeting.

Cam and I read the entire Harry Potter series in about 17 months!  We were hurrying to get it done before she went to the Dances for the weekend so the last 3 days we read about 5-6 hours total.  My vocal chords were so sore!  So glad we did this together.  Now she wants to read the Cursed Child :)
Stake YW Presidency Meeting.  Rae joined us on zoom b/c her family got covid this week

It seems to snow around the 3rd week in February pretty often up here.  We didn't get much but it did allow for a 2 hour delay for the girls b/c of icy roads.

Cam and I were driving home from cheer/tumbling and I knew the mountain was going to look amazing so we drove to Bankers bridge to snap a picture.
Konrad and Sam flew to Boise to help JJ and Kimber move...this was the first 2 loads of stuff.  They said they had a lot!
Sam living their best life counting all of Kimber's change.  $162 or something like that!  If she got to roll it all they would be living my best life :)
Cute Cam and her friends at school:

I helped at the YCL retreat the last weekend in February.  I love all these girls...now I'm just hoping we can change Allison's mind and get her to come be a YCL as well.  I was so sad when she told me she wasn't planning on going.  I cried about 10 times that day.  Spending the week with my children at Girls Camp is the best and I will really miss her not being there.  These girls are going to be great leaders...it's going to be a great year at camp!
My dad came home for the weekend so we had him and the Dances over for dinner and games.  Steph and Kenz ended up not coming b/c K wasn't feeling well.  I missed them!  It was good to have everyone over.  I miss our weekly gatherings!

Las Vegas Classic VB Tourney

Allison's Rainier Volleyball Club had a tournament in Vegas.

We spent time by the pool:

Walked the strip...

Watched a magic show by Murray the Magician:
Ate yummy treats:

And watched A LOT of volleyball.  When Al wasn't playing we had 3 other teams we could find with girls we knew and would watch them.  I love this tournament!

Team bonding!

Konrad and I ubered to a thai place one night...I have decided I am not a fan of not having a car on vacation.  I understood why we didn't have one, but I just feel so trapped!
We could walk to In and Out:
We laughed at our lonely child when we saw her sitting all by herself :)
Al went back to the strip with teammates:

Right before this picture we, they let me too, were all line dancing :)

They played well this tournament, but weren't always able to finish it.  So many close games it was so fun to watch!!!
Leah was also playing, so her Mel, and Anya were in Vegas as well.  The Tyler's had us all over for dinner and we had so much fun eating delicious food (cooked by JT) and talking.  Love these people!
Can't believe how grown up these guys are.  When we all used to hang out consistently they were about 8-10 years younger....
the girls walked over to 7-11...allison had a slurpee mishap!
Allison took this picture as we left Vegas:
This was as we boarded our plane in Long Beach...headed to Sacramento...to eventually head home.  It felt like a really long day!
