Time to Check In

My mom informed me I needed to update this blog of mine.  She wants to show off pictures of the girls Camryn to her co-workers :)

Most of these are facebook repeats, but hey, they need to be added to our journal, right???

This view brought back many memories.  I'm sure there is one just like it of my sisters and I in a pool in some hotel between Washington and Utah.  :)

 Allison got her hair cut.  She plans to grow it out though.  The other day she said "I thought it would work for me, but I was wrong."

 We went to Konrad's family-work-party.   They had some fun ladies there that did awesome face paint, awesome balloon animals, and yummy snow cones. 

 With 3 big sisters, even Cam got her face painted.

 

 I colored my hair.  Decided to go dark, I like it.  It may be my color for good.  Or at least until I get bored with it.

 Cam has the cutest skinny jeans ever.  They are cute in this picture, but so much cuter in person!

 Kimber made the 7th grade volleyball team.  It's been a learning experience for her.  She has really improved, but has had to work really hard, 2 hours every day, to get there.  She is worn out and sore, but I think she'll agree that it's been worth it (even if it takes a while for her to admit it!)  4 of her friends also made the team, they all played together through our community and in 6th grade (Konrad was their coach for both).  We all headed to get ice cream to celebrate!

 My new favorite picture of Camryn.  She had just turned 4 months (9/7).  At her 4 month check up she was 11 lbs. 9 oz and 24 inches long.  6% for weight.   21% (I think) for height. 

What else has been going on:

• Alli is playing soccer.  Go Girl Bombers!
• Sam is taking swim lessons
• Kimber is also in the Stake play, Fiddler on the Roof
• Kimber longs for a day that she doesn't have anything going on
• Preschool started last week and it is going well.  The kids all seem happy to be here and they are a fun bunch.  I was just saying this morning how quiet they were, but I think they heard me.  They definitely upped the volume today!  That means they are becoming friends, so it is a good thing.  I only teach one class this year and have Monday's and Friday's off.   I'm loving that.  
• Camryn goes to my friend Aleisa's house during preschool.  Last week she cried each day for 10-15 minutes, the crazy loud super sad you can't do anything to stop cry.  Today she didn't cry at all.  Improvement.  
• Camryn refuses to take a bottle.  Not so awesome.  She took one for the first 6 weeks of her life, one everyday.  But then I stopped teaching and stopped giving her one.  My bad. 
• Konrad's team closed a big deal at work, whoo-hoo!
• The Tesla got it's first owie.  Konrad had backed into the garage to unload some pears that I canned with Steph.  He opened the trunk to unload everything and then closed it.  As it was closing I think he heard a cracking sound and turned to realize, horrified of course, that a hook that hangs down from the ceiling (it used to have a tennis ball attached to it so I'd know when to stop the van when I USED to be able to park in the garage, but the tennis ball fell off long ago, so it was just a metal hook now) was pinched between the trunk seam.  This wouldn't have been too bad if the entire ceiling of the Tesla wasn't made of glass.  Yeah, talk about chip in the "window".  Both sides of the seam were damaged.  I think they are fixing it as I type (it happened a couple of weeks ago)
• The girls seem to be doing well in school.  Alli and Sam are enjoying their teachers and classes.  Kimber seems pretty content with middle school and enjoys switching classes.  I'm hoping we've passed the awful 2-weeks-into-school-and-I'm-exhausted-and-grumpy-bc-the-excitement-has-worn-off period.  We had a rough Monday, but it's seeming better today.  Oh, maybe that's because it's only Sam, Cam, and I home, and Cam is sleeping :)
• Allison turns 8 in less than two weeks and will be baptized on her birthday.  That's fun.  
• We spend Tuesday nights at the church gym.  Kimber plays vball at 6:15.  I play at 7:00.  Konrad plays sometime after that.  There was one family there longer than us last week, b/c they had a son who had to play in a YM game.  
• Konrad is one of the most requested coaches for our community teams.  #1 in Sam's division.  #2 in Alli's division (which he's never even coached before, but due to lots of friends and ward members the team is filling up quickly), we'll see about Kimber's team, he's had the same team for the past 2 or 3 seasons, hopefully they'll come back again.  I told our friend Kandice, who works for the community program and is also Alli's soccer coach, not to tell him things like that.  It might go to his head...

That's all I can think of for now.  Volleyball here we come.  After we cram some dinner down our throats that is.
