Week 17 (April 26 - April 28th)

 Michelle, Tami, and I went on an 8 mile bike ride to practice for High Adventure.  My booty has never been so sore, but I had so much fun with these ladies.  Laughed until I cried a few times (some of those tears might have been from pain though...)

Cam lost another tooth and didn't tell me.  Took me a few hours to notice it was missing.  She thought she was so funny!

Allison and I were able to go help at the Bonney Lake Food bank, The Market and we had a great time.  The food bank has recently been moved to a new location (the old location was so scary, dirty, sketch) and it is beautiful! Loved working along side these ladies!

They love when Konrad comes out to play.  

Cam participated in an art zoom with an illustrator.  Her painting didn't go quite as she had planned so there were a few tears, but she worked through it ended up liking her piece.

Week 16 (April 19th - 25th)

Cam lost another tooth! "this is the smallest tooth I've ever lost!"

This is the one piece of furniture Oliver is allowed on.  In the week that Konrad worked in our bedroom (when Kimber was here) the seat of the chair was destroyed and now we have to cover it with a towel to keep him from pulling on the leather off.  

We are learning about bugs in preschool and I was able to catch this giant bumblebee to show my classes.  He survived being in the container and I put him outside where I found him right after preschool and he crawled right out.  I checked on him a bit later and he was dead.  Did I ruin him by putting him in captivity for 20 hours???  Oops!

Kimber facetimed me and told me she got her hair done...I assumed she just meant the color and then she moved it from behind her shoulders and half her hair was gone.  I think it's super cute!

Finally got the time and place of Sam's graduation!

And the sunny weather is gone...walks in the rain aren't horrible, but also aren't the best.  

I was able to attend the wedding of one of "my" YW, Jessica.  She looked amazing and they seemed so happy.  The picture is blurry but I love their smiles!

The caterpillars are preparing to cocoon themselves!  It's crazy how quickly they change!

Allison was the spotlight for North Tapps YW today:

Nothing too exciting happened this week. We spent a lot of time outside.  Walks, small weeding sessions, sitting in the sun.  

Allison is stuck in the main part of the house until she gets her homework done.  When she's bored of homework she plays the piano or reads.  Sam and Allison have decided they like real books again, so they are often hitting the bookstore.  I need to tell them about half priced books...

Sam is working and going to the gym and hanging with friends.  She also makes videos for school and does homework.  

Cam got $2 from the tooth fairy.  She is counting down the days until her birthday (12 at this point!) and helping me plan a Harry Potter birthday party.  

Rumor has it that we will be going back to phase 1 as far as covid restrictions go.  Our county has had a spike in cases and it just keeps getting worse.  I am really hoping they won't have to close schools....

Kimber got her first dose and Sam was supposed to but her appointment was cancelled for some reason.  

My friend C.B. got covid and has been so sick.  Like in bed for 3 straight weeks.  She got pneumonia and needed IV's at one point for being dehydrated.  I feel so bad for her and have been scared for her. 

I had one preschooler end up with covid so far.  Her parents got it and eventually she tested positive as well.  Luckily it all happened over Spring Break and we didn't have to close down.  I have one little one getting tested today (she has a fever/sore throat).  Fingers crossed she comes back negative or else preschool will have to close for two weeks.... 

Kenzie spent the night last night.  She attended church with us and was able to go to her first in-person YW Sunday lesson.  Although sacrament meeting went over so there wasn't actually a lesson.  Oops!  

Week 15 (April 9th-April 18th)

We came back from Florida and Spring had sprung!  So many pretty blossoms!  That first day back I got my second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.  I lucked out b/c I was supposed to get it on the 8th, but we were still in Florida, so I had to be put on an extra dose waiting list and was worried it was going to be hard to find an extra one.  Luckily Haagen, a grocery store in Lakeland Hills, called me on the 9th and said they had one for me.  I ended up getting pretty sick from it and spent the majority of Saturday laying on the couch or in bed.  I did paint the office though...so I still felt a bit accomplished even though I was miserable.  Body aches, chills, and a headache that lasted for almost a week.  A few days it was so bad I wanted to curl up and cry (one of those times was during preschool on Tuesday.  It was bad.  I took some cold medicine for sinus pressure, some ibuprofen, and had Konrad bring me a Coke zero for the caffeine.  It was rough, but I made it through!

Dinner at my parents the one week we were all in town before they headed back to Arizona.  It was beautiful and they were able to play basketball, ultimate frisbee, skate board, and did some golf chipping.  My head was aching, so I just watched :)

These 3 flowers are all on the same bush at my parents.  My mom was given the plant by some work friends after her father passed away.  They moved it with them from Issaquah and it's obviously thriving :)

Kimber and JJ drove into town Monday afternoon and we were all very excited to see Kimber and meet JJ.  

He is pretty quiet and observant, kind, and seems very happy and content with life.  He was able to throw some sarcastic remarks at Kimber as the week went on, which let me know he should be able to hold his own with her :) It was fun having her play the piano

The Dances gave me the slide and the preschoolers LOVE it.  They still ask everyday if we still have the slide.  :)

Ollie sure gets us outside often and I'm always happy when the day looks like this.  We seriously had the best week weather wise.  70 and 80 in April?  Yes, please!

Ollie gets to come see the preschooler's every once and awhile...most of them love him and those that aren't sure about him are getting more confident.  Konrad joked that maybe one day he'll be the classroom pet and just sit in the classroom all day :)

Kimber and JJ took Camryn on their adventure to Seattle.  They went to the aquarium, Pikes Place, and the Seattle center.  

Kimber and I went to Caytlynn's bachelorette party (the whole reason Kimber came up to visit this week).  We did a dirty dancing class and ate yummy strawberries :)

Allison spent time at Gabby's and they made a cake.

We had the Dances and my parents over for a BBQ on a warm Friday night.  So nice to be outside, eat yummy food, and play some games.  (Code Names and Decrypto)

Saturday morning these 4, and Ollie, went hiking.  Luckily Kimber survived ;)

She also went out in the kayak with JJ.  As I was taking these pictures she was squealing b/c she kept getting wet with the freezing cold lake water. :)

Then Konrad and I took it out.  This is a new-to-us kayak and we both really liked it.  I liked it b/c when my rotator cuff starting hurting, Konrad could do all the work :)

That night my parents got us all tickets to the Mariners game.  It was fun to be back in the park after the covid year of no baseball at first and then baseball with no spectators.

This was the set up crew for Caytlynn's wedding reception.  So happy to be part of her day and celebrate with her amazing family!

It was so much fun having Kimber and JJ here.  Luckily we get to see them in a couple weeks so our good bye wasn't too hard this time.  It's nice that Boise isn't too far away and in 8 hours they can be here if they want.  

Konrad got his second dose on Monday and he had a couple hours where he didn't feel great, but really was just fine.  I was so glad.  I didn't want him to have to try and work while feeling miserable.  

I filled my last spot for next years preschool class.  I'm sure it will change before September when we start up again, but it's nice to know that I'm full at the moment :)

We tried to get Ollie's nails clipped at the vets office.  He hates us trying so we figured paying $19 was worth it.  They got one back paw done, maybe both back paws, but the front ones were not going to happen.  Instead they sent Konrad home with meds to give him to calm him and told us to try the pills on him first to see how he reacts to them and then if they calm him to make another appointment and give him a pill before taking him in. 

My parents headed back to Arizona Sunday afternoon b/c my dad was having a surgery down there.  They'll be down there until he is fully recovered.  He had vertebrae in his neck fused.  It sounds scary, but went well and other than him not sleeping well and having to wear a neck brace I think he's doing okay.  I heard my mom mowed the lawn down there, so he must be taking it easy :)
