Hawaii Day 18: Sam's Birthday

Sam's birthday was also the last day that Sam, Allison, and I were in Hawaii.  We let Sam choose what we did and it ended up being a great day.  Although, pretty much everyday in Hawaii is a great day!

I woke up early that day and decided to go see the sunrise.  So glad I did.  It was beautiful.

 I also happened upon this monk seal that decided to chill on "our" beach for the day :)

 We had to get donuts of course to celebrate Sam :)

 Then I took the girls down to see the seal:

 We started the day off at Waimea for more cliff jumping.  We got there at 8:30, which was in time to get parking, which is a huge deal.  

 It chose to rain on us a bit.  Thumbs down!

 Then we headed to Matsumoto's for shave ice.  We got there before there was a huge line and didn't have to wait at all!

 Then we had cookie ice cream sandwiches for dessert.  We didn't have a candle so Konrad put one on his phone:

 On the lame red-eye flight heading home.  We left almost 2 hours late, which didn't put us landing until almost 8:00 am.  We were supposed to be at camp around 9:00.  We made it there around 11:00 after getting to my parents house (we had renters in our house), showering, moving stuff from Hawaii bags to camp bags, loading the car, grabbing some Subway, and driving the 1.5 hours to get there.

Such an amazing trip and we ended it in the perfect way.  Celebrating Sam and spending so much time with family.  Love that we get to do this with my family!  Memories that will last a lifetime!
