Photo Shoot with the Big Girls

The girls were all looking cute after church on Sunday so we snapped a few pictures:

Allison is 9!

Miss Allison turned 9 today.  I can't believe it.  She is getting so old. 

We had lots of fun celebrating her birthday this weekend.  She had her friend party on Friday, right after school and we had her family party tonight.  Throw in a trip to the Circus, a soccer game, and a day full of celebrating our friend Riley, who chose to be baptized, I'd call it a pretty good weekend!

Allison chose to have a soccer themed party this year.  My first sports themed party ever.  I learned that a soccer ball is made up of both pentagons and hexagons.  I'd never noticed that before.  I guess I assumed they were all the same shape.  Here is my attempt at drawing one, on a cake. 

 We started with an after school snack, since they were just getting home from school. 

 Then played hot-soccer ball (think hot potato :))

 and on Allison.  Thanks for the good laugh Riley.   So funny :)

 We worked on our foot work by popping balloons...we learned you had to play offensively as well as defensively (protect your balloon, but pop others or the game will never end)

 These two ended up tying b/c they were both so awesome that they could have went for hours.  All though they were getting exhausted, so maybe one of them would have collapsed and the other would have popped her balloon.  Better to just end in a tie though...right !?!

 We played a friendly game of table soccer...using the power of blowing.  Luckily no one passed out, but we did have to take a break to catch our breath!

 Oh, we also did heading practice.  We used a balloon though...a lot less painful and not as destructive in the house.

 All the kids, except for one friend who had to leave for soccer practice.  Good thing we got her all warmed up at Allison's party. 

 Oh and Sam was there too. 

 We ended the party by coloring little soccer player puppets and then playing some finger soccer. 

We had to rush out the door to get to the circus.  Which we all loved.  It was pretty fun. 

This morning, her real birthday, we had donuts for breakfast:



And then a family party, also celebrating Mackenzie's birthday, after church. 

Dinner first.  Allison's choice was noodles.  I was nice and didn't make everyone eat plain noodles so we had a few different sauces to choose from.  Add in yummy garlic bread and you can't go wrong.

Ready to open presents:

 Kenzie got to go first.  she got a dress, very similar to what she wore here.  This one has both Anna and Elsa though.  Too cute!

 Sam had just got done saying something sarcastic and funny.  Of course I don't remember what it was even though I took a picture of her to remind me of what she said.  Oh well.

 It's getting better....

 There it is.  Allison's new look.  We were at Claire's yesterday and she saw the headband and glasses and really wanted them, but she had already spent her money before we even got to Claires.  So we distracted her, and Kimber chose to get them for her for her birthday.  :)

Happy Birthday to a girl who loves to play soccer, sing, dance, jump on the trampoline, play with her sisters, snuggle, watch TV, read books, eat treats, and go to school.  She also kinda likes her baby sister.  Just a little.
