Finders Keepers; Losers weepers

So, you know how sometimes when you are doing laundry you might find a penny, a dime, or even a quarter (as well as crayons, stickers, rocks, paper clips, etc)?

Those days can be fun.

But imagine my delight yesterday when taking the clothes out of the dryer and found $260.25!

What should I buy????

I'm glad I was the finder and not the loser!

(P.S. Anyone want to do my laundry next week, it may be worth your time....)

Too Much Attitude!

Kimber's dance teacher loves the fact that she has A.T.T.I.T.U.D.E.

I told Miss Sue, that it is fine at dance class, but I could use a little less at home :)

This is the crew we dragged to Kimbers dance class last week (and to swimming today - I'm really thinking of buying a hat that says chauffer on it - might as well get a limo while I'm at it):And just for Tami:
The girls came down dressed in "mommy fashion" - they had gotten into my exercise pants drawer and found some sweat shirts in the closet. Kimber's pants may not look all that exciting to you all - but a certain friend of mine, picked up these bad boys for $1. Notice how they fit Kimber's teeny legs - we'll remember these were bought for ME! Sorry for that mental image. Oh, and too bad you can't see the zippers on the sides of the legs...priceless! Anyways, anyone up for clubbing anytime soon? :)

(and luckily for me, the waist was too big for Kimber, b/c she LOVED those pants and is determined to wear them!!!! My daughter will not be sporting shiny/black/spandex pants anytime soon, if EVER!)

I don't even remember what he was talking about, but it was pretty funny. Oh, I think it was pretending to hula-hoop, while singing, and doing sign language.

E-I-E-I-Oops

the 1st and 2nd grade classes at Sam's school did a cute little play last week. Sam and her class sang lots of fun songs.

The gym was completely packed, the only spot I could find to actually be able to see Sam was sitting on the floor directly under her. I didn't see any of the actual play, but Sam and her friends were pretty entertaining.

Figured I'd wait a month....

Since there were so many posts about trips to Vancouver, I decided to hold off on mine for awhile - make it more special :)



Whatever, I finally put the pictures on my computer b/c it is now crunch time for preschool portfolios (yes, that is what I'm supposed to be working on, don't judge!), realized these were still on there and figured I should do some journaling.



Back in April we went up to Vancouver, Canada, to tour the new Vancouver Temple. We went up with some friends and had a GREAT time.



We all met up in Mt. Vernon, at the tulip festival. We had lunch at a street fair and then headed to the flowers.

After the tulips we headed to Canada. We stayed at the best hotel - fully equipped with a water slide and free breakfast (love Hampton Inn's). The kids had a blast swimming. They swam for 2 hours the first night and 2 more hours the next morning. We let Allison go down the slide even though she technically wasn't tall enough - she loved it. We had to force Sam down the first time (Konrad carried her up there kicking and screaming and made her go down). She was mad for awhile afterwards, refusing to admit she enjoyed it, but eventually she gave in and went down on her own - over and over and over.

Kimber enjoyed the water slide as well, but she also fell in love with snorkeling. She loved the fact that she could swim around forever and not have to come up for air. She'll be a pro in Hawaii this summer! Grandpa will have a new snorkeling buddy!

On Saturday we headed over to the LDS Temple. The lines were INSANE that day. It was cold, it was wet, it was a long 3 hour excursion. Luckily the girls did pretty well. They were really excited to have the opportunity to go in the temple. They were really excited for the cookies that were promised after going through the temple.

Just waiting....(Sam had a nasty UTI that hit fully this trip - she was in major pain, what a trooper. She made it through it - and we had the opportunity to see many Canadian bathrooms - not that they are exciting - just stating a fact)

I am tired of waiting....(after we took this picture she burst into tears and sobbed b/c we "made fun of her". She was embarrassed and let us know it. Note to self - leave Allison alone when she looks like this....)

What a great weekend!

We are alive....

Man, it's been awhile. I am a bit behind...

• We've been pretty busy lately - all our normal stuff, but then a bunch of dentist and doctor's appointments.
• Samantha got two really bad UTI's, right in a row. Within 4 days of finishing antibiotics it was back in full force. We spent 4 hours at doctors this week for that - she'll be going to a specialist at Children's within the next 2 weeks to see what's going on. We also experienced our first antibiotic shot - she got one in each leg, and had a hard time walking for 24+ hours. Poor kid!
• I have horrible teeth. I thank my dad for that. So I've been to the dentist 5 or 6 times in the last month. Dang cavities. Dang crowns. Dang temporary crowns that break when I'm eating a delicious white chocolate macadamia nut Pizzookie at BJ's. Dang fillings. Dang fillings that aren't filed down well enough and prevent you from biting down correctly, (that you don't realize until the numbing wears off about 2-3 hours later) and that make you go back to the dentist ONE MORE TIME (with 4 children mind you...). Finally it's all done. (until I have to go back in November, then it all starts over...)
• We are now dealing with a stomach bug. It started with my nephew Jordan. He threw up in the middle of the night Tuesday night. I thought he had just coughed so hard that he threw up....but then last night Allison threw up. Now Alli and Jack both race to the potty (if you know what I mean) and I am starting to feel yucky. So I apologize now for all the people that were in my house yesterday - Mother's Day party for preschool and a Cookie Lee party (we're talking like 30+ people between both) - little did I know we were germy!
• I found another yummy dessert recipe. Key Lime Cupcakes. So yummy! They are the perfect shade of green as well - very springy!
• My sister and her husband are celebrating their 5th wedding anniversary today. They went on a 5 day cruise (they get home tomorrow)....I am sooo jealous. This is their first longer-than-a-night-or-two trip without their kids. I'm glad they got to go, but very envious at the same time. Now I know what they feel like when Konrad and I go somewhere. Glad we could start paying them back for all those times they've watched our girls.
• Next week is the big Lakeland Hills Garage Sale. I can't wait. I've already been saving up my "small bills" so I'll be ready to go. I'm starting to make my list of what I'm looking for. If you are looking for something particular let me know, I'll try to keep my eyes open for it. I think I'm going to try and find some decorations for my house. I typically don't look at that stuff - but I might try it out this year. I also need 3 carry on suitcases and a couple big ones (for our trip to Hawaii - we aren't doing the house swap, for those who have been wondering - the people wanted to do it, but he can't b/c his business is being audited - so we will enjoy the original 2 weeks we had planned with my family in July). I need one or two more preschool chairs. They are the bright and colorful IKEA ones. I just can't bring myself to pay $15 for one when I got all 12 of mine for around $30 or so. Other than that I am always on the look out for preschool toys and craft supplies, books, and clothes/shoes for the girls. Can't wait! Only 8 more sleeps! :)
• We went and saw the Princess and the Pea last week at the Storybook Theater. It was a great show. Very fun. The girls loved it.
• Hopefully I'll get a post done about our trip to Vancouver soon. I still need to upload the pictures.
• Other things we've done lately: went to a Mariners game with my mom and sister's for their birthdays (Steph's is April 29th and Michelle's is April 30th), swimming lessons (Kimber passed her level. Sam cheered that she didn't pass - she is the only child I know that never wants to move up in anything. Allison will hopefully pass next time), furniture shopping - couch or table?, and attempted to fly kites last Monday when it was windy - found out it was a little too windy though - strings kept breaking.
• Okay, time to be productive....
