Memorial Weekend Volleyball Tournament (May 29-31)

Allison had a tournament in Centralia so we made the hour and 20 minutes drive there and back to the cabin on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday (on Monday we just went home afterwards, not back to the cabin).

Konrad took her on Saturday and they were running so far behind schedule that they didn't get back to the cabin until 12:15.  

I did Sunday and Monday.  Sunday they played pretty well.  

Monday was bracket play and they won their first 2 games putting them in the championship game that evening.  They played a team they lost to the night before but ended up winning and taking home the t-shirt!

Here they are with the U16 team (Al is on the U15 team) eating before their final games.  It was fun to see Gabby and talk with her.  Also, just listening to a big group of girls talk is always entertaining!

This was the last game of the season, so it was a fun way to end.  So glad I was able to attend the matches I did and support these girls.  

We drove the Tesla to and from and it was so nice that they had a super charger right there by the gym.  And the super charger was right next to a shopping center so we had options of things to do while we charged.  It took 40 minutes the first day and 30 the next.  So quick and easy!

Lake Cushman - Memorial Day Weekend (May 28-May 31)

 This Memorial Day weekend was a bit different than others b/c we were splitting time between the cabin and attending Allison's volleyball tournament in Centralia.  It was still a wonderful time though and many memories were made!

I missed the hike this year, but they had a good time (other than having to climb up the side of the mountain through the brush)

Our smore collection this year.  Sadly, no peeps at all.  BUT we did discover the mallolicious peach mallows and they were AMAZING!  Cinnamon twist, not so much.  I was expecting a churro/snickerdoodle flavor, but it was a hot tamale flavor instead.  Cupcake ones were yummy and the sour patch kids ones weren't too bad.  

Allison (and Konrad too) are traditionalists and prefer the normal smore and never try any of the new stuff...

Not sure what they were doing, but they did it for quite a while...around and around they went. 

Sawyer was beyond excited for Sam to get there (she came later than the rest of us b/c she was working).  Here he is teaching her lacrosse:

This was on the way to the cabin...they were storing up their sleep b/c they knew they would need it.  There were quite a few late nights for these ladies and dog.

We thought Ollie looked just like an otter with his hair blown straight back.
