Allison's First Hair Cut

I took Alli in the day before Thanksgiving to get her hair cut. She did so well. She sat still the whole time and looked where the lady asked her to look. I was suprised, to be honest with you. I wasn't sure how it would go.

Before (yes, she's rolling around the floor at HairMasters)
During (she wouldn't look at me...too busy looking at herself in the mirror)

After
I think it is so cute. It looks thicker and healthier. Plus it doesn't get in her food as much!

I do have to admit that I didn't save any of her hair. Does anyone really do that? My friend Julie cut Kimber and Sam's hair for the first time and she MADE me save it. Sorry Julie, but that hair is long gone. What was I supposed to do with it? To be honest I think the girls found the little baggie with Kimber's in it and dumped it out...oops. So I decided why even pretend that I wanted to keep Alli's hair. It's not like I saved her first fingernails that I cut, why keep the hair?????

Another Volleyball Player in the House

Kimber started her first season of volleyball. She is playing on a Covington City team for kids 7 and 8. She is the smallest person on her team (one girl is like a foot taller...everyone else probably atleast 6 inches). She got two serves over last night, and was very excited. Here are a couple pictures (she is number 2)...

My ward volleyball team made it to regionals, which we start this Thursday. We actually play my mom's team...watch out Mom, you are going down!!! My friend Tami thinks that my Mom should throw the game, it's the least she could do for her daughter! Doesn't she want her to succeed??? j/k mom! We'll take you down fair and square!

Konrad is still playing on his city team and loving it. He has been averaging 3 nights of volleyball a week. Last weekend he played Friday morning, Friday night, and Saturday morning. He actually admitted that his arm hurt and came home after only 2 hours Sat. morning.

Favorite Toy Meets Fireplace

This is what happens when a big ball meets the fireplace....

The girls were pretty upset at first, but then their smart mom remembered that Samantha was given a Bouncy Ball last Christmas that we lost the plug to. I realized that I could use the plug from the green ball on Sam's Cinderella ball...Sam has been bouncing ever since! She even takes it to aerobics and Grandma's house. Part of me is starting to think she's pretty smart too...she's the one that "accidentally" pushed the green ball into the fireplace....

The Best Toy Ever...

If you are wondering what to get your kids or husband for Christmas...I have just the thing.

This big green ball has been the favorite toy in our house for months now. I've decided Sam should be in the circus. She loves doing somersaults over the ball and last Monday Grandpa Crabtree helped her (and the other girls too) to stand on the ball and do tricks.

Not only do the girls love it, but Konrad has spent a lot of time on it as well. No, not exercising (which is why he got it for Christmas last year) but perfecting the ability to balance on his stomach then quickly switch to his back...all without falling off. If you haven't tried it you should!

So when trying to think of the best gift to give kids of all ages...think of our big green ball. I got it last year the day after Thanksgiving...thought I'd give you the heads up so you can get a great deal on it!

Lunch with friends

Today I invited some girls from my old ward over. Everybody brought something to share for lunch. We ate some great food and had a fun time catching up. Meanwhile the kids did a great job entertaining themselves (except for Sam who was bored, b/c there were only 'babies' there and Alli who just likes attention and/or watching Dora).

Steph and Jack came as well.

Thanks for coming everyone...it was good to see you! I'm sure we'll do it again!

My cute nephew

Jackson found some new toys at our house the other day...pretty cute, huh?

He actually loves the glasses and can wear them for quite awhile.

Happy Birthday Grandpa

Grandma and Grandpa Crabtree came over for dinner and dessert to celebrate Grandpa's 57th birthday. The girls had a blast showing off/entertaining their grandparents.

Halloween

I know it's a week after Halloween, but b/c it took me so long to jump on the blog bandwagon I'm a little behind. Here are some pictures of the girls...

Alli the cow

Sam and Kimber and the pumpkins (the girls are behind the pumpkins)

The girls and the pumpkins again.

There she goes...

Tonight at dinner Kimber lost her tooth. Once again she fainted afterwards. Poor girl. I'm not sure if it's the pain or the blood...either way it will be interesting to see if it continues to happen as she gets older. Could make having babies difficult!

I did it!

Well I got that much figured out. Now I just have to play around with it. I'm afraid I'm going to become addicted and will continue to neglect my "wife duties"...although I cleaned up my whole house today, so I should be okay for an hour or so, right? But really...do I need one more distraction? Probably not, but everyone else is doing it, why can't I?

Will this work????

I guess we'll see how computer literate I am, huh? Let's see if I can add a picture...
