Catch-Up

Whew, finally got caught up on the blog.  The end of the school year is always crazy and this time I got way behind!

Our life for the past month has consisted of:
  • 2 preschool graduations
  • end of school
  • hanging out with friends
  • 1 trip to Wild Waves that was cut short
  • 2 days of babysitting for Kimber - her first "real" job (meaning she wasn't watching her sisters)
  • swimsuit shopping for Hawaii (we finally all have enough...at least 3 per person, some have more)
  • rainy days filled with house cleaning, room organizing, floor mopping, and laundry
  • watched 2 movies (Mirror Mirror and Brave - neither were my favorite, but the girls enjoyed them)
  • many many episodes of H2O (the girls) and White Collar (Konrad and I)
  • Konrad fixing up the 4-plex...we have 3 empty units.  I think 2 are almost filled (paper work in process)
  • a Mariners game
  • Fun birthday parties for friends
  • a Renton Highlands reunion...10 ladies and 29 kids (+ the 3 extra Kimber was watching)
  • TONS of jumping on the trampoline
  • no type of schedule what-so-ever....bedtime happening around 10:00! we need to work on that!
  • playing at the park until its dark (=a late bed time!)
  • a little bit of sun, but not near as much as we had in the end of May and beginning of June
What we have to look forward to:
  • a Mariners game tomorrow
  • a couple days at Wild Waves (praying for some sun so we can swim and work on our base tans)
  • a Cafe Rio party
  • and most of all...
A MONTH LONG TRIP TO HAWAII!!!!  Bring on the sun, the ocean, the waves, my entire family, and even the sand.  We seriously can't wait!

Allison's Baseball Party and New Hair for 2

Kimber and Alli got their hair cut....cute, huh?  Can't beat the $4.99 special I got either!  2 haircuts + tips for $15!  That's what I call a good deal!

Allisons soccer baseball team (I don't think I called it baseball on the first try EVER this season)
Her great coach gave them all a trophy, a certificate, and a ticket to see a movie.
Go Tiger-Sharks!

Kimber's Dance Recital 2012

Kimber took a Jazz 2 class this year.  She really like it.

(Kimber wasn't into the whole "photo-shoot" thing this time, so there aren't as many pictures as her sisters.  She was too excited to go get her haircut and rushed upstairs to change as soon as she could!)

Sam's Dance Recital 2012

Sam took a tumbling class this year .. she was excited to get to tumble AND be in a recital!

 A little upside down yoga-meditation :)
Sam's new hair-do really brought out the sassy in her!  Love it!

Allison's Dance Recital 2012

Allison took a ballet class this year.  She did NOT like ballet (too boring), but did like her costume!

Cute Girls in Costume

School's Out for Summer

Kimber wanted to invite a few friends over for a Schools Out Party.  She was excited to have friends over b/c it doesn't happen very often.  Most of her close friends don't live nearby and/or are busy.  They made a craft, jumped on the trampoline, played at the park, and ate dinner.

In order to keep the little sisters from bothering the big sister they each invited a friend as well.

The next day, when the girls were busy celebrating the real last day of school, I was busy being a creeper.  Yes, I even took a picture b/c I was laughing that I was so interested in what was happening at the park.  Our good friends the Weeds were being filmed for Nightline.

Kimber (in the pink shirt) was fascinated as well and headed over to the park to "see what was going on".  I told her to leave them alone, but then noticed she headed right over to Josh and started telling him about our adventure to Wild Waves (power went out throughout the whole park and there was all kinds of poop in the wave pool...we were at the park for 1 1/2 hours, and the girls were able to spend 20 minutes in the water before they kicked us out.  Sad!), he was miked so the camera man heard everything, and started laughing.  Sorry guys!

The Locks

A few Sunday's ago we headed to the Ballard Locks to watch the boats move from Lake Union to the Puget Sound.  As always, we loved it.  The salmon were not jumping yet, so we will be going back in August.  You should come with!

Being mermaids:
A little phot shoot on the hill:

The girls all learned what happens when you roll down grass hill after grass hill....a little red rash.  They were all kind of excited that they were "allergic" to grass!

Love when it is sunny in Seattle.  My favorite!

Crazy Hair Day

Back at the beginning of the month the girls had crazy hair day at school.  We had fun!

Big Ball

Tami took these pictures of Kimber playing in the big ball.  I'm still sad the other girls didn't get a chance to do it :(

Piano Recital

The girls did a great job at their recital.  It's always fun to watch them perform.

Lake Cushman May 2012

The tradition continues....Lake Cushman for Memorial Day Weekend!

We actually got some sun this time!  It was great.

Aaron was kind enough to be decorated
Konrad doing one of his favorite things in the world....
 Sam playing in the water
Alli and Kaya in the paddle boat.  This was the first year the big girls were big enough to take the paddle boat out on their own.  A.MAZ.ING.  :)
 Starting our hike:
Aaron is always willing to be Sam's jungle-gym.  She LOVES him!

The colors in the forest were amazing.  I couldn't get over how bright green some of the trees were.

A crazy tree.  Again the forest is amazing there!
 Cute girls.
 Konrad doing Alli's pose:
 Who wants to fight?
 On guard!
 Lily and Mel:
 ahhh
Lily made Konrad a cute headband:
Konrad and Kaya at the top of the rock:
Aaron can do some amazing tricks:
 almost finished hiking:
Every year something crazy happens.  This year two things happened.  Aaron and Mel didn't show up until the second day (Aaron was writing a 34 page chapter for a text book...took longer than expected!) and we go locked out.  Luckily I had left the bathroom window unlocked, so we pried off the screen and Konrad hopped in....One year we will have a hide-a-key out there!
As always, one of our favorite weekends of the year!  Thanks for sharing it with us Molens!
