I am doing a jar challenge with Melody Molen and one of my goals is to spend 30 minutes a week on portfolios, so that hopefully it won't be a stressful May and June getting them completed. This day I was separating their work into individual piles.
Then there was the day that we showed up at church 30 minutes early. I was thinking church started at 10:00, when in reality it starts at 10:30. It wasn't raining so we headed to the "green park" for a few minutes. It was very cold though!
That afternoon it was nice and sunny still and had warmed up a bit so Cam played outside while I watched Allison's volleyball game on my phone. Eventually we pulled out the pogo stick and I had to give it a try. I got a few good bounces in, but almost fell on my face as well :)
Alli and Madi at their game:
My entire morning class is finally back! I have one little friend who hasn't been to class since the first week of October. He had a baby sister born 9 weeks early and with covid and all the other germs they kept him home for quite awhile until she got stronger. Poor baby still has a feeding tube, but they decided he could come back. They continued to pay tuition and a I would put together homework and project packets for him each month. So glad he is back in class!
A memory from 2015 when we bought our house. The lake was gone! So glad it's back :)
Ollie loves to sit on the porch and watch the backyard.
Cam and I watched Harry Potter #7
My office was a disaster!! There were still things Sam left in there from when they were home at Christmas time and things from the New Year's Eve Dance in January.
So. Much. Better!
I made my favorite peanut butter cookies for a RS/EQ activity at the church. We played a giant game of spoons!
Konrad was the ultimate winner of Spoons that night. He won every single round and never had to leave the winners table! He even managed to win when his opponent, pictured, got 4 of the same cards before him, but he got the spoon before she fully grabbed it. The card he needed was laying on the floor and he never would have gotten his 4 of a kind!
He was asleep but woke just as a took the picture :)
We had the Molen's and Leonard's over for games and dessert. The Leonards took off just after 9:00 but the Molen's told Aaron that their movie was almost over. 40 minutes later we realized they were lying and the mean moms had to go tell them to turn off the movie :)
When Sawyer comes to your house things like this happen. Makes me laugh! Why not play BINGO with tacks rather than the little markers that come with the game???
Camryn's class working on fractions...one of their last days with masks!
Sam and friends went to California for Spring Break (although Sam has a never ended break b/c they aren't working or in school at the moment...just living their best life!)
Spirit Week! Jammie day and the first day of NO MASKS!!!! Best. Day. Ever!
A pretty rainbow on a crazy weather day!
These two have been dating for 6 months. Ian celebrated by having surgery on his knee.
Crazy Hair Day!
I eat a smoothie for lunch about 5 days a week. Konrad has been having 2-3. I was buying so many little bags of spinach so this time I opted for the costco bag. We will see how long it lasts us!
JJ sent me some pictures from their adventure today to the MK Nature Center, which they walked to from their new apartment.
We played Code Names Duet tonight with Cam. She took turns being on our team so we can get her ready to play on her own. Love this game!
Today, March 20th, was a crazy church day for me. I spoke in the Clarks Creek ward at 10:00 and then went to Sunday school in my ward. Then I listened to Rae speak in the Sumner ward. I ran home and made some cookies and put together a snack mix for Mel and Aaron that they needed for youth meeting. Made some extra cookies for my Stake Youth Leadership Committee meeting as well. We also had APYW before and after that one. Oh and I made crepes for Allison and I in that hour I was home making cookies as well. Konrad, Cam, and I took Ollie on a walk, had dinner, and played Code Names. Allison is celebrating Gabby and Jenna's birthdays at Gabby's house. So many new drivers in their friend group now...right as Allison is allowed to start driving them around :)
My jar challenge goals, that I mentioned above, are:
2 miles walk 5x a week
30 minutes exercise 5x a week
5 servings of veggies each day
25 squats
50 abs
20 pushups (although I'm suspending that one for a bit b/c all my arm joints hurt)
30 minutes portfolio a week
blogging every other week
10 minutes piano everyday
2 prayers per day
10 minutes scripture study per day
Come Follow Me daily
general conference talk daily
10 things I'm grateful for daily
only 2 desserts a week
no eating after 9:00
I have to do all those things 6 days a week and for any I miss I have to put $1 in a jar to give to Melody at the end of our challenge.
