Fun in the Sun

Most of you know that one of my favorite things in life is to be tan.  Luckily I am terrified of tanning beds, otherwise I'd probably be dead by now.

Nothing cheers me up like the sun.  Its obvious that we love our family (parents, siblings, cousins, grandma) very much, b/c otherwise I think we'd pack up our stuff and move somewhere sunny.

Luckily we get to take vacations....vacations to the sun!

My sister Michelle moved to Austin Texas a couple years ago and we finally got to go see them in their new house.

We had a blast.  This trip made me realize how sad I am that they are so very far away.  We used to think Portland was too far...now I'd even take Utah, where I could at least drive there!

Shell and I both decided we were going to be better at taking pictures this trip...aren't you all glad???

Ready?  Set?  Go!!!!

The first day we were there it was in the low 80's.  So warm and wonderful.  Of course that meant sprinkler under the trampoline!

Kenna and Alli planted lots of acorns and little seeds in the garden box.
Michelle had plants ready to go in the ground (and decided there were enough "trees" being planted in the boxes) that she let the girls help.  My girls (besides Kimber) were super excited to help.  Planting a garden, in swimsuits, in FEBRUARY!  Who knew???
They have a great tree in their yard, complete with a swing.

Matching girls...pink and blue!

Austin Part 2

I decided to break it up into a few different posts...

I'm not sure how many hours were spent watching Good Luck Charlie (Grandpa's choice), Hannah Montana, and Mr. Young.  Probably too many, but that's what vacations are for, right?
Allison had a huge crash on a bike.  The bike is a bit heavier than her normal one and of course it was the first time I let her ride without a helmet.  Luckily she didn't get a huge head wound.  But she was pretty scraped up.  Cheek, chin, foot, elbows, thighs, stomach, sides, shins.  You name it, she scraped it.  Luckily Shell new a neighbor not too far from the crash site and we were able to snag 5 bandaids from them.

Sam spent some time etching....

One day we headed to a Bouncy House:

Oh and Alli had lost a tooth the night before:

Austin Part 3

And some more....
A fun park:
My cousin Kallie and her family came down for Friday and Saturday, they live in Dallas.  We got to hang out with Max while Kallie worked on Friday.  So fun.

Kimber taught us all how to make hair bows:
3 gymnasts in action:

Kallie and Peter had a hotel in Austin so we thought it would be fun to take the girls over and swim.

 They jumped in:
And jumped right back out:
It was FREEZING and the hot tub was broken.   They were pretty disappointed.  I had planned on them swimming for an hour or two and having to have a late dinner...15 minutes later they were all done :)

Konrad had eaten at the "Trailer Park" (lots of food trucks in one area) in Austin one day with a friend.  He loved it so much that he convinced us all to go there our last night for dinner.  We ate at Torchy's Taco's and then got donuts at another trailer.

Kallie and Max waiting for donuts:
Everyone waiting for donuts around the fire (it was pretty cold that night!)

We took our donuts home to eat.
Allison got the "Baby Rattler" it had fudge, oreos, and the biggest gummy worm ever

Kimber got a simple chocolate covered one:
Sam's had chocolate and brownies :)

Austin Part 4

Last ones....
Kenna has a bow and arrow so the girls had to try it out.

Kimber was feeling a bit like Katniss  :)

The target:
Nati enjoying a snack:

Pretty sure I have a picture just like this from Hawaii:

Thanks Kenyon's!  We had a blast and can't wait to do it again!!!!  Love you all!!!
